The process of Whole30

You get so much more out of  your whole30 when you approach it as a process instead if a diet. Following the rules is great, but it is also just strategy: the top part of what is available to you…

CrossFit coach @benbergeron taught us this pyramid at a workshop in Amsterdam. It is called the process and  he adapted it from Football coach Nick Saban. I recognized it’s use outside sports, in my field: changing health, habits and relationship with food through Whole30…

For me it shows the difference between a diet and a reset.

When you focus on what capabilities you need to develop, to eat healthy, you grow. You learn cooking, label reading, planning…

Now when you go through that learning process every minute of every day of your Whole30, “committing and maximizing your capabilities on a moment-to-moment basis”… You’ll find you develop new character traits, like commitment, determination, positivity, excellence, embracing adversity…

And THAT will change your life!

Fun fact: I actually brought a homecooked Dutch meal to share with Ben Bergeron and his team to the workshop. It was the andijviestamppot I shared yesterday on my Instagram.
